Inpatient

 
» Inpatient care at GNP Hospitals is of the very highest standard. Our patients experience highly personalized service in a warm and friendly atmosphere. 
Much emphasis is placed on maintaining a calm and caring environment to assist the recovery process. Exemplary nursing care is provided by an international nursing team under the supervision of our experienced directors of nursing.
 

» Package Deals: The GNP is pleased to offer patients a range of specially tailored inclusive package deals offering exceptional value of money.

All packages deals are inclusive of the following:
» Immediate pre-operative investigations.
» Physiotherapy where indicated.
» Peri- operative medicine (excluding medication taken home).
» Surgeon and anesthetists fees, disposables consumed in the operating theater and
   charges for theatre use.
» Medical and nursing care during admission period.
» First out-patient follow up consultation for the same condition following discharge within
   ten day period.
 
Package deal prices do not include the following:
» Diagnostic investigations.
» Post- operative investigations.
» Complications occurring during or after surgery due to a pre-existing medical condition.
» Blood transfusion and blood product transfusion (i.e. FFP, blood factor, platelets etc).
» Any patient with a pre-existing medical condition that required pre-operative management
   (e.g. hypertension or diabetes).
» Such cases will be billed at standard hospital price list rates.
» Whenever possible such cases will be controlled in the out-patients department.
» Post discharge physiotherapy.
 
It is understood that package deal prices are not subject to any further discounts and are for procedures performed by hospital listed medical practitioners only. Please note that wherever more than one procedure is carried out under the same anesthetic that main procedure will be charged in full and 50% discount will be applied to the second procedure and each subsequent procedure.

Maternity Special terms:
Inclusions and exclusions are the same as quoted herein. In addition to the above, the following will be provided:

» Episiotomy
» One Entinox cylinder
 
Please not the following:
» If an epidural is requested an additional SR1000 will be chargeable.
» For twin delivery, SR500 is added to the package deal price for normal vaginal delivery
   and caesarean section.
» Antenatal blood profiles are mandatory for all deliveries. If the maternity package selected
   excludes antenatal care, an antenatal blood profile must be undertaken, the price for
   which is SR650. If antenatal care is selected the profile is included.
 
» Admission: A patient being admitted from the outpatient clinic to the hospital shall be classified as either routine or emergency.

Routine
» The consultant/specialist explains the need for admission and the admission plan to the
   patient and/or family, including expected length of stay, any surgery to be done, benefits &
   complications of surgery, drawbacks if patient refused to undergo surgery, cost attached,
   and available package deal systems.
» The consultant/specialist will fill the Admission form order in the patient»s medical record
   and instruct the nurse to escort the patient and/or family to the admission office, where
   he/she will fill the admission form and proceed with the admission process.
 
Emergency
» The consultant/specialist explains the need for admission and the admission plan to the
   patient and/or family.
» If the patient is for surgery, the consent form should be completed and signed by the
   patient.  If the patient is a child, the father or mother must sign the consent form. At least
   one witness, other than the physician, must sign the consent form. The
   consultant/specialist/nursing staff places the completed consent form in the patient»s
   medical record file.
» The Head Nurse on the admitting ward is informed of the impending admission & all
   relevant data, concerning patient's name, age, sex, and admitting diagnosis and a bed
   number obtained.
» The Admission Officer will provide a bed number for the patient after communicating with
   the head nurse of the admitting ward.
» The patient and/or family are escorted to the Admission Office (if the patient's condition
   permits) along with the medical record file.
» The patient is taken to the ward, by wheelchair or stretcher if necessary.
 
 
 
 
» Inpatient Satisfaction Questionnaire: to be filled by inpatients to evaluate their admission experience.
